Biografía: Depeche Mode es una banda británica pionera del synthpop y la música electrónica, formada en 1980 en Basildon, Inglaterra. Integrada originalmente por Dave Gahan (voz), Martin Gore (teclados, guitarra y voz), Andrew Fletcher (teclados) y Vince Clarke, quien dejó el grupo tras su primer álbum (Speak & Spell, 1981), Depeche Mode evolucionó rápidamente hacia un sonido más oscuro, sofisticado y emocional.

Con álbumes icónicos como Black Celebration (1986), Music for the Masses (1987) y el aclamado Violator (1990) —que incluye clásicos como “Enjoy the Silence” y “Personal Jesus”—, la banda se consolidó como una de las más influyentes del panorama musical mundial. Su mezcla de electrónica, letras introspectivas y una estética sombría definieron el sonido de toda una generación.

A pesar de enfrentar crisis internas, adicciones y la muerte de Andrew Fletcher en 2022, Depeche Mode continuó su carrera con el lanzamiento de Memento Mori (2023), demostrando su vigencia y capacidad de reinvención.
