Biografía: INXS (pronunciado "in excess") fue una influyente banda de rock australiano formada en 1977 en Sídney. Originalmente compuesta por los hermanos Farriss (Andrew, Tim y Jon), junto con Garry Gary Beers, Kirk Pengilly y el carismático vocalista Michael Hutchence, el grupo alcanzó fama internacional en los años 80 y 90 gracias a su mezcla de rock, pop, funk y new wave.
Su estilo se caracterizaba por una base rítmica sólida, guitarras pegadizas y la intensa presencia escénica de Hutchence. Álbumes como Kick (1987), que incluyó hits como “Need You Tonight”, “New Sensation” y “Never Tear Us Apart”, los consolidaron como superestrellas globales. Tras la trágica muerte de Hutchence en 1997, la banda atravesó varios cambios de vocalista y periodos de inactividad, aunque nunca recuperó el mismo impacto.
